Mary is survived by; Husband James Carlton Evans the love of her life for 68 years.: children Gloria Ann Rigsby, William Dorman Evans (Sydena), Carlton Eugene Evans (Nancy Lynn), Perry Kenneth Evans, Nancy Elizabeth Reeves: niece Carol Wilson (Paul) and a nephew Bill Johnson, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Elaine Lewis, grandson Larry Gene Brock and a brother James Robert Johnson.
Mary was a voracious reader, she loved to cook, was a true homemaker, was very informed and kept up with all current and local news and events. She was a community mother-very involved with her children and grandchildrens activities.
A funeral service for Mary will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Wards Fairview Chapel. A visitation will occur Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. An interment will occur Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Fairview Memorial Gardens. 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
