Mary Lou Spears

Mary Lou had a successful career as an Office Manager for Fulton Federal Savings & Loan before accepting a position as Church Secretary at Atlanta First Church of the Nazarene. It was there that she found her passion for serving on multiple mission trips in countries from Peru to Portugal. In later years she enjoyed travelling with her husband to Branson, MO. She loved the beach and was an avid and talented painter. But her true passion was always her family as she loved nothing better than spoiling her three boys and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. NaNa was always there for fun, laughs, encouragement, and hugs.

Loving mother of Gene Spears (LaDonna), Jim Spears (Joanna), and Billy Spears (Kimberly Dean). She is also survived by grandchildren, Matt, Haley, Samantha, Amanda, Steven, Tim, Landon, Carson and Kaitlyn, great-grandchildren, Eylan, Hannah Kate, Brooks, Henry, Luke, Jane, Lizzy, Clarissa, Penelope, her nieces and nephews, loving family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281, where a funeral service to celebrate her life will immediately follow at 12 noon. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
