Mary C. Vernon age 78 of Douglasville passed away April 28, 2014. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Vernon in 1990. Surviviors are two children Harold Vernon Jr and Maria Gray & husband James. Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday May 2, 2014 in the Fairview Chapel of Horis A. Ward. Pastor Tim Potate will officiate. Interment in the Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home May 1st from 6-8 p.m.
