She was born on October 15th, 1954 in Atlanta, GA and was the daughter of Barbara Carter Sprayberry and the late Joseph Edward Sprayberry. She ran her fathers waste oil company Sprayberry Waste Oil for several years. On April 6th, 1991, Melissa married Stephen Blair Hudson.
Melissa is survived by her husband Stephen B. Hudson; her son, Stephen Hunter Hudson and fiancé Melissa of Harrisonburg, VA; and her mother, Barbara Carter Sprayberry.
In addition to her father, Mr. Joseph E. Sprayberry, Melissa was also preceded in death by one sister, Rollene Sprayberry Tucker.
A visitation of family and friends for Melissa will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of her life will take place at 1:00 PM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
