Michael Lenoah Wright Sr. was born in Selma, Alabama on August 4, 1961. Michael moved to New York City as a toddler.
Michael was a dedicated husband, son, father and grandfather. Michael was well-liked by many. Rarely was he seen without a big smile on his face. He was always upbeat and positive. Michael had a big heart. He never hesitated to help those in need. He was also a true leader. Wherever he worked, his peers looked to him for guidance.
Michael loved sports; especially basketball and football. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was ecstatic when he was able to travel to Texas and get to see the Cowboys play in their new stadium.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother Loretta W. Carter and his father Arthur Martin.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Michelle Wright; his sons, Michael Jr. of Middletown, NY; Ephraim of Jacksonville, FL; his stepchildren,Terria and Brandon; his brother, Calvin Wright (Alice) of Selma, AL; his sister, Rose Martin of Selma, AL; his grandchildren, Aaiden, Jeremiah, Jahsiah, Ephraim, Ezra, Malachi and Aleelah and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Michael will be missed by so many. His footprint for life has left a great legacy.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation in 10 person rotation intervals on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281. A graveside service will follow and be streamed LIVE Thursday in Fairview Memorial Gardens beginning at 1:30 p.m.
