

The family of Mildred Fay (Clark) Pouncey of Jackson Lake, Georgia is sad to announce she passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2025 at age 97. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother who was loved by all.
Mildred was preceded in death by her loving husband, Weyman, and her parents Julius Wesley Clark and Oda Fay Clark. She is survived by her daughters and son in laws, Debbie & Tim Savage and Bonnie & Jackie Black; Grandchildren Colin, Heather, Anna, Alex, Jacqueline, and Parker; and 11 Great Grandchildren. She leaves many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was born in Cedar Grove, Georgia in 1928 on her family's dairy farm. With 6 siblings and their spouses nearby, her life was filled with family. Mildred and Weyman later moved to Jackson Lake, Georgia where they were long time residents, having purchased a home there in early 1950's. She spent time exploring family history and even wrote her Mother's Biography. She loved traveling and playing with all of her grands and great grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Pouncey will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the funeral following at 01:00 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Internment following at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Ellenwood, Georgia.
