Nhat also known as “John” was born in Vietnam on February 6, 1957 to Suy and Tinh Nguyen. He immigrated to America in 1980 and attended Syracuse University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Married for over 44 years to Tuyet Nguyen, they had three sons, Joe, Michael, and Donald, two daughter-in-laws Sylvia and Leeann and five grandchildren, Roman, Harvey, Madison, Chloe, and Isaac.
He proudly dedicated over 35 years as an engineer for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force, with his journey taking him from Syracuse to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Florida—and on many unforgettable adventures around the world.
Though we will deeply miss him in this world, he will always remain in our hearts, and his legacy and values will continue to live on through us.
Prayer Service and visitation of family and friends will be held for Nhat on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A funeral mass will take place Friday, May 9, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church | 1000 GA-155 N, McDonough, GA 30252. Services will conclude with a graveside committal 12:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
