Patricia (Pat) Allaire Elam, 78, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023. Pat was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, to John and Marie Tully on November 13, 1944. She grew up with her two brothers, Jack and Rick, surrounded by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
As a young child, Pat and her family moved to Canton, Ohio, where she attended and graduated from Our Lady of Peace Catholic School. It was here that Pat developed many beautiful and lifelong friendships. She was known for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and positive, easy-going attitude.
Pat’s faith played an important role throughout her life. While raising her family, she was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she volunteered with women and young women’s organizations. She worked as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society before returning to school in the 1990's where she completed a Medical Assistant program and worked in several medical and office settings.
Pat was known as a person who loved her family and friends and showed her love by supporting and helping people whenever she could. While not exempt from struggles, Pat maintained an overall positive attitude and desire to overcome whatever obstacles came her way. In addition, she had a great sense of humor and found a reason to laugh in almost any situation.
Pat made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and movies, but her greatest love was spending time with family and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack, and her son, Jeffrey. She is survived by her daughters: Missy and Liz; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer; her brother Rick Tully (wife Wendy and daughter Sarah) and six grandchildren: Felicia, Leila, Emily, Shelly, Samantha, and Bo and three great-grandchildren: Luna, Oakley, and Nova as well as her devious cat, Tigger. She was a loving mother and doting Nanaw. She was happiest spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat leaves a legacy of kindness, love, and humor and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Services will be held at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel (376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281). A visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, at 4 pm, followed by a service at 5 pm.
