He was born in Ste. Agathe, ME, on October 7, 1950, to Lucien and Constance (Morin) Desrosiers.
He was a resident of Stockbridge, GA, and is predeceased by his mother and father, a brother, Maurice, and a special godchild, Saskia. He is survived by his beloved wife Ruth of fourteen years, and his children, Philip, Jr., and wife Lisa, Stanley and wife Amber, and a daughter, Allison; three stepchildren Wendy, Renee and Michael; his grandchildren Shiva Von Hoff, Chris Prewitt and eleven other grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Philip was the oldest of eleven siblings including six brothers – Robert (Mona), Edward (Mike), Dennis (Carlene), Walter (Helen), Bill (Angelika); and three sisters – Jeanne (Gil), Francine (Guy) and Mary (Rich). Phil will be missed by his fur babies Jake, Tiblet and Buddy. He leaves an extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Phil graduated from Wisdom High School in Ste. Agathe, ME, in 1969. He will be remembered for his deep devotion to his wife, children and family. Phil was always thoughtful in remembering and sending cards for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions or sending postcards from hundreds of his travel destinations. He was a mentor to others who followed into his footsteps as an independent truck owner/operator and earned national recognition awards for his outstanding safety record and over 30+ years of continuous operations.
A private service for the family will be held in Stockbridge, GA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Notre Dame de la Vallee, Ste. Agathe, ME, in June 2020. Internment will follow at the Ste. Agathe Upper Cemetery. Flowers, masses and offerings may be shared with the family.
