He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters: Gertrude Head, Elva Mae McPherson, Marie Brown, Louise Burgess, Ethel Crenshaw, Patsy Floyd and his brothers: Edward I. Epps and Jimmy Epps.

Ralph was in the United States Army for 22 years retiring in 1973. He served in Vietnam and two tours in Korea in the medical supply corps.

Ralph turned his heart and life to God in the eighties when Evangelist Carl Hatch visited Lake City Baptist Tabernacle. He served the Lord faithfully thereafter, including at Valley Hill Baptist Church and as a current member of Jodeco Baptist Church. Ralph never met a person he didn't like and always wanted to talk or share a joke.

I will always remember Ralph being kind and his laughter. Most importantly his value of family, his kids meant the world to him and he always asked others when was the last time you saw your family. His friendship through the years has always been valued and will be greatly missed. I’m sure he’s getting all the Coconut cake he’s wants now. Much love always Diane

He was the sweetest, kindest, most gentle of men. On the rare occasions I got to see him, his embrace was so warm, like the wings of an angel wrapped around you...I planned on going to see all of them on my trip to South Carolina June 10th, but sometimes life has other plans. I close my eyes and see him and my daddy laughing, both young and healthy, surrounded by love.
Forever in my heart Uncle Ralph.
