Ramona Padgett LeBlanc

Born and raised in Ellenwood, Georgia, Ramona was the daughter of the late James and Sally Padgett. She grew up as one of seven girls in a large, close-knit family alongside her six sisters: Joyce Holcombe, Hilda Brock, Jane Lewis, Diane Lane, Deborah Dooley, and Lynn Burke. She was preceded in death by her sisters Joyce Holcombe and Jane Lewis.

Ramona lived her life with passion, determination, and a feisty spirit that was entirely her own. Long before she became a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was an accomplished athlete. A high school basketball star, Ramona was voted Most Athletic during her high school years—a fitting honor for someone whose strength and competitive spirit would remain a part of her throughout her life.

Over the years, Ramona wore many hats. She worked as a court reporter and as a hairdresser, bringing her strong personality and unmistakable presence wherever life took her. She was also an avid collector of jukeboxes, a hobby that reflected her love of music and the joy she found in things with a little character and history.

Some of Ramona’s happiest memories were shared with her beloved husband, Joseph “Joe” LeBlanc, who preceded her in death. Ramona and Joe loved to dance, and together they built a life filled with family, music, and memories. Their love of dancing remains a beautiful reminder of the life and love they shared.

Ramona was the proud mother of Adam Easterwood and his wife, Stefanie; Phil LeBlanc and his wife, Amy; Glen LeBlanc and his wife, DeDe; and Mary Swick and her husband, Larry.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Emily Brockway, Brianna Easterwood, Nick Worth, Garrett Worth, Bradley LeBlanc, Logan LeBlanc, Nona LeBlanc, Josie LeBlanc, Tiela Ziolkowski, Sierra Mellett, and Larry Swick Jr. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews who were part of the large family she loved.

Those who knew Ramona knew that she was not one to fade quietly into the background. She was feisty, passionate, strong-willed, and full of life. She loved deeply, lived boldly, and left an impression that will not easily be forgotten.

From the basketball court to the dance floor, from her career to her jukebox collection, and most importantly through the generations of family she leaves behind, Ramona lived a life uniquely her own.

Her family will remember her stories, her strength, her passion, and that unmistakable spark that made her Ramona. Though she will be deeply missed, there is comfort in imagining her reunited with Joe - with music playing and the two of them dancing together once again.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time.
