Regenia Gail Cooper

She was born on September 1, 1950 in Atlanta, GA to the late EJ and Mary Lois Harper.

Gail loved to play cards and slot machines, but most of all she loved her kids, grandkids, great grandchildren, and her animals. She was always the life of the party. Whatever the family planned to do, she was right there to support and she never missed a beat. Gail was an all-the-time mom and was always present, whether it was cooking for the boys on poker or just hanging with the family. She also enjoyed dancing, drawing and lest we forget her infamous soap operas! Her special ability was always making everyone smile. She loved going on vacation, tubing and boating on the lake with her family. Mexican Fridays were always a favorite of hers as well. Gail was always ready for a good time with a good ole “Coca Coler,” as she would say. There was nothing more important and precious to her than her beloved family. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, EJ and Mary Harper, Gail was preceded in death by one son, Larry Locke, Jr.; two brothers, Buddy and Charles Harper; and two sisters, Peggy Phillips and Phyllis Manzella.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Mr. Ira “David” Cooper; a husband-in-law to Coop and father of her children, Mr. Larry Locke; two sons, Todd Locke (Claudia) and Tony Eaton (Ashley); one daughter, Tori Locke (Billy Tanner); eight grandchildren, Ashley Locke, Kyle Locke, Blake West, Alyah"Peyton" Randolph, Mikayla Thomas, Nevaeh Kidd, Trey Eaton, and Kyleigh Eaton; nine great grandchildren, Braelon Bruhier, Harper Wilson, Luka West, Maliyah Boes, Kashton Moore, Kyair Moore, Raiden Locke, Easton Vanderwal, and River Vanderwal; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and bonus grandchildren; as well as her beloved pets, Sammy, Chrissy, Chaz, and Bear.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Gail on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of her life will occur Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal service at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
