Richard J. McNelis Sr. retired as a commercial driver for Colonial Bakery for over 20 years and was a mechanic for 17 years with Lee Brothers Trucking Company. He was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church of Warner Robins GA. Richard passed away at home on May 28th, 2017 in Warner Robins, GA. Visitation will be held on June 3rd, 2017 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, at Fairview Memorial Gardens located at 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge GA with the service immediately following. Mr. McNelis was born in Duluth, MN on April16, 1949, and moved to Hapeville GA in 1972. He married Charlotte Collins on June 22, 1979 and is father to two children, Angel and Richard Jr. Richard Sr. loved working on vehicles and had a passion for the open road. He is survived by his wife Charlotte of 40 years, his daughter Angel Johnson (Robert -Son-In-Law) and his son Richard J. McNelis Jr. and his 7 grandchildren and 13 great grand children.
