Robert โ€œPopsโ€ Jackson, age 76 of Jonesboro, GA, beloved husband of the late Phyllis Jackson for over 50 years passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.

Loving father of Laura Jackson, Travis R. Jackson and Shaun Jackson. He is also survived by grandchildren: Frankie Pyles, Brandon Pyles (Megan), Travis C. Jackson, Colby Jackson, Hayley Reyome, Isabella Jackson and Zoey Jackson, great grandchildren: Bryce, Cailyn, Brooklynn, Bailey, Addison and Cameron, his sister Ruby Hubbard (Junior), brothers Wesley Jackson (Vicki) and Lonnie Jackson, nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Sunday, January 5th from 2-4 p.m. and Monday January 6th from 11-12 noon at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281, where funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

THIS IS TRUELY ONE OF THE SADDEST DAYS OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. I ONLY HAD THE HONOR OF HAVING YOU AS MY FRIEND FOR 10 YEARS POP'S ; BUT I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT YOU WERE THE BEST AND MOST TRUE FRIEND I HAVE EVER HAD AND YOU WERE GREATLY LOV ED AND WILL BE MISSED BY ME FOREVER AND I WILL HAVE AN EMPTY SPACE IN MY HEART THE REST OF MY DAYS .MAY YOU REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND AND MAY GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL .

I met papaw 10 yrs ago when I met his grandson Travis 10 yrs ago. I truly loved this man everyone called papaw.the neighborhood we all grew up in adored him .He didn't meet a stranger.he opened his doors to everyone a great father,papa n a true friend..You will be missed i love u n I can't believe u are gone this world has lost a beautiful soul full in high with the angels n tell my mom I love her๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•
