Chris joined the Army right out of high school while at Fort Lewis, Washington, where he met his wife.
He retired in 2008 after working for Georgia Power for over 37 years. He enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, goats, rabbits and turkeys. Ron liked to listen to country music, playing cards and games on his computer.
He is also survived by his loving sons, Ronald Jeff Jr. (Christine), and Larry Christopher (Misty), two grandchildren, Savannah and Andrew Christopher. Ron was the youngest of four, all have preceded him.
Depending on what you referred to Ronald as was dependent on how you knew him. Some knew him by Ronnie, RJ, Chris and Ronald. His family had the blessing of referring to him as husband, father and grandpa. Each name that you referred to him as was an honor, it was an honor to know him. As his friends and family mourn his absence, he will never be truly forgotten. His sons will carry on his legacy.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281, where a memorial service will be held to celebrate his life beginning at 12 noon, with military honors.
