

Ruby Fredean Tyson Snow, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 16, 2016. She was born on July 25, 1924 in Clarkson, Ga. Ruby was the daughter of Ruby Elizabeth Tyson and George Fredrick Tyson of Clarkston, Ga. Preceding her death was her husband of 50 years, Nelson Lee Snow, Jr.; her siblings: Robert B. Tyson, Frank Tyson, Gene Tyson, Lily Nichols and Dorothy Wall; her daughter: Mary Janice Hall; her grandchildren: DeWayne King, Sherry Robins and Josh Snow.
Ruby retired from Food Giant in 1983 after 28 years of service and was a long time resident of Decatur, Ga. She was a devout Christian who told everyone about the Lord and took care of anyone around her who was in need. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She loved to sing the gospel and play the piano. She was a Sunday school teacher, home missionary, Girl Scout leader and loved to play basketball when she was a young girl.
Ruby was loved by all who knew her and leaves behind a long legacy; her children: Bill F. Snow (Mickie), Judy Lee Dodson (Wayne), Don R. Hall Sr., John Samuel Snow; her grandchildren Tim Snow (Tammy), Robbie Hall (Casey), Jennifer Turner (Paul), Chris Snow (Connie), John Williams (Tammy), Wayne M. Dodson, 16 great grand children, many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless other friends and loved ones who called her Maw-Maw.
Friends will be received at Horis A. Ward- Fairview Funeral Home on 5/18 from 4:00-8:00 and 5/19 from 12:00-2:00. Services will be held on 5/19 at 2:00. Interment will follow at Kelly's Chapel cemetery in Decatur immediately following the service.
