Veteran of Vietnam War at the rank of Master Sargent in Republic of Vietnam Military Forces.
Mr. Sang Kim and his family arrived in United States on May 22nd 1990 from Viet Nam and resided in Pelican Rapids, MN for 14 years. He was employed by West Central Turkey Plant and worked there until he retired. Mr. Sang Kim was known for his intelligence, gentleness, charming, and approachability. You would always find him wearing a smile on his face at no matter what the circumstances were. He loved his children and grandchildren and always pushed them towards higher education. He enjoyed gardening with his wife and doing yard’s work. He loved to shop at the Home Depot at Aisle 05, Bay 022 aka The Tools Area. But don’t let him take your small engine apart because he would make you put it back together yourself.
He enjoyed spending time with his family on the weekend and occasionally hitting the beach with his wife and family. He was a computer guru by chance but he got it down where he could cruise the internet like it was his backyard. And believe it or not at 92 he still had all of his teeth. Mr. Sang Kim lived a meaningful life at its fullest. And like every wonderful story, it will end with some sorrow, but for Mr. Sang Kim, this will be a celebration of his journey as a man, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend. May the Lord continue blessing him and watching over his family while his come home to his heavenly father. Amen.
Mr. Sang Kim’s life will forever be remembered and cherished by his wife Tiet Le; son Son Kim; three daughters: Wendy Kim, Katie Kim, and Hanh Kim; daughter-in-law Thanh Kim; two son-in-laws: Lua Duong and Peter Nguyen; former son-in-law Loc Duong; eight grandchildren: Amy Kim, Tony Kim, Nikki Kim, Kimberly Duong, Kelly Duong, Tilly Duong, Kailie Duong, and Dakotah Nguyen; grand son-in-law Paul Le; three great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Bounthone, Sophia Le, and Conner Le.
