

Scott grew up in Stockbridge, Georgia and was a 1983 graduate of Stockbridge High School. He was employed at Atlas Copco Rental as a Service Technician. He also had successful careers with his businesses, Carter Construction Home Builders and C&C Trucking. Scott was a man of many talents. He enjoyed family time, motorcycles, antique cars, hunting, fishing, and boating. He could drive anything with wheels. He was a great cook & loved Mexican food & country home cooking. Scott always had a smile on his face and brought laughter everywhere he went. The best times of his life were the years spent with CC and the happiest was the day he made CC his wife. Scott is a Christian and he and CC attend Joshua’s Place Church in Jackson.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Billie L. Carter. He is survived by his wife Christine (CC) Carter; stepchildren, Carolann Curlee and Jessie Curlee; his mother, Chloe Carter; one brother, Charles Carter; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
A visitation of family and friends will be held for Scott on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of his life will immediately follow the visitation at 10:00 AM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
