He was born in Atlanta, GA on May 25, 1949. Papa was a hard working and caring man. He was dedicated and always helped those around him. He always strived to make everything better and was the anchor of his family, who he loves dearly.
Rick was top salesman for many years at Wynn Beauty Supply. He was very athletic in his younger years, and enjoyed playing softball and basketball, and also enjoyed watching football. He enjoyed a variety of music and was a great dancer for a long time. He even had an impressive split!
Papa was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Bowen and father, Lee Hamilton; his wife, JoAnne Hamilton; as well as his brother, Mike Hamilton and sister Vickie Heck. He is survived by his daughters, Kellie Greenberg and Shellie Hamilton; grandchildren, Naomi Hamilton, Blake Greenberg, and Jeffery Jones; great grandkids, Kian, Rachael and several others; his sister, Connie Steinberg; along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel | located at 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281 on October 27, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Following the visitation, a celebration of Rick's life will take place at the same location, starting at 2:00 pm. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia, 30281.
