Teresa Jan Cox

Jan was pre-deceased by her natural father, Alan Lamar Cox, who died in action in Vietnam on August 1, 1966 as well as younger brother Scott Alan Cox who died after a massive heart attack on March 23, 2023. Jan is survived by her Mother, Jeanette S. Norris, Father, R. Edwin Norris of Griffin, Georgia and brother Robert D. Norris, along wife his Alycia and niece Emily and nephew Zachary, of Shelby Township, Michigan. Additional family members include Aunts Katherine Wilkie and Peggy White uncle Michael Norris and his wife Jeni and a number of cousins along with their families. Her close friend from college days, Margaret Thigpen, remained a true friend to the end and survives her as well.

Jan never married.

Jan was saved as a pre-teen at a youth camp conducted by Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee in early 1970. In time she would question whether her profession was real or not and on a Sunday evening in 2011 at Newton Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia, while she still had her rational mind, she went forward to the altar as the invitation was given and was met by our very good friend Kim Gooden who counseled her and based on her testimony that evening believed her salvation as a youth was real and secure.

Because of that, we believe Jan rejoices in Heaven this day.
