Thomas Edward Bowen

Thomas served four years in the United States Navy and went on to serve thirty-six years at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. After retiring, he spent his years working on his properties with his toys, doing his own work and enjoying life with his sons, many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tommy, as he was called by his friends, enjoyed the many years he spent with his ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly!

Thomas is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances, and his sons and their families.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Thomas on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of his life will occur Friday, April 22, 2022 at 12:00 PM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with graveside military honors and a committal service at 1:00 PM in Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
