Virginia Evans

Virginia G. Evans, age 83, of Hampton, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 3pm, with Pastor Chuck Holt officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.

Our mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother was one of the most loving, caring people you ever met. She worked most of her life taking care of patients in a nursing home and serving kids in school until she retired. You were truly an angel here on Earth and now one in Heaven.

She is survived by: brother, Robert & Vicki Stradley of Villa Rica, sister, Mary & Marvin Overcash of Mableton, children; Ginger Ragsdale of Hampton, James & Sherry Wilson of Stockbridge, Mary Puckett of Conyers, Grady & Wands Evans of Griffin, Gene Evans of Jackson, Larry & Darlene Evans of Lovejoy, Richard Evans of Griffin, Becky & John Picker of Douglasville, Raymond Evans of Newnan, Sandra & Mack Rogers of Hampton, 28 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Evans Sr., son John William Evans Jr., parents; Luther & Irene Stradley, brothers; Arthur Stradley, David Stradley, John Stradley and George Stradley and sister, Rosa Lou Donaldson..
