Aunt Brenda, wish I could have made it to Uncle Buddy's memorial. I'll never get the gleam in his eyes when he smiled. He was a good family man and he will be missed!!!

So sorry to hear of Buddy's passing.  My prayers are with all the family.  My family and I lived next door to Buddy on Connally Drive.  He was like a brother to me all through our Headland days.  Will never forget how much fun it was to have him as my friend and neighbor.

Brenda, you dont know me, & Buddy might not have even remembered me if we had met, we were classmates together at Headland High from 1956 to 1959, I left school at that time because I had gotten married, but Buddy was one of my dearest friends at school his wit & sence of humor kept me & a lot of others laughing all the time, my heart goes out to you & your family at this time, but I did want you to know that I thought he was one of the finest persons I ever had the good fortune to meet...

Brenda and family, our deepest sympathy goes out to you. Buddy was a treasured member of our family and I could not have chosen a better brother in law. He was always there to help and bring a smile to everyone's face. He was a truly good person who loved his family and was very devoted as a husband, father and grandfather. We will miss him.

Words cannot portray all the memories, smiles, hugs, or advice you have given me over my live. I have to say it pays to be first in the world of grandchildren as it provides you the distinct opportunity to develop connections that will outlive a life time. Pop always believed in me 100% no matter what I wanted to do, because he wanted it for me too. He help me to develop confidence in myself and the job that I perform and to realize that there is more to life than what is through the first open door you come to. Pop always encouraged me to continue in my walk with Christ, he was always willing to talk about everything or just go do the fun things. Some of my fondest memories are from the many summers I spent down at his home going to White Water, American Adventures, or the Discovery Zone. I'll never forget the time I got myself lost at Disney Worlds Blizzard Beach Water Park all because I didn't want to wait in a really long line. When I figured out I was lost I went to the nearest point that had park workers, when Nan and Pop realized I was lost they got really scared. Eventually we found each other with the help of park staff and Nan popped me and then had to protect me from Pop; he wanted to pop me to because he had been so frightened. We didn't stay to long after that.  Yes this is truly a hard time for our family to lose such an influential monarch, but he has left us on the paths he helped or watched us choose, with his wisdom and laughter in our ears, and his smile and love in our hearts. POP I will never forget how much you helped me grow up. I love and will see you again someday.

Buddy built our home and from the very first day we met, we knew that we would be friends forever.

To say that Buddy was an awesome man, is an under statement.  Buddy's kindness, sense of humor, light heartedness and high personal morals and values were strong and admired greatly.  We would love to hear him brag about his family.  Buddy's love for all of you was strong. 

To the Phillips family, we send our deepest condolences.

He was so good to our family throughout the years, always there to lend a helping hand or come to the rescue whenever he was called upon.  He will always be missed and never forgotten. Brenda, so sorry for your loss. I know you don't know me but Buddy and I worked together on many jobs at the old Western Electric and ATT. We worked side by side on the evening shift for at least a couple of years. I always liked Buddy and had wondered where he was. Again, wishing you and your family my condolences at this time of loss.

Brenda, we are so sorry to hear about Buddy's passing.  We had some good times together (a long time ago).  We thought of you both from time-to-time, and wondered how you were.  We will never forget Buddy, or you either.  Larry thought a lot of Buddy and enjoyed working with him many years ago at ATT or whatever it was called at the time.  God bless you and the family.
