William T. (Billy) Lawhon, 89 of Jonesboro, Ga., passed away January 5, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife in 2008 Juanita Lawhon. Billy is survived by his three children Charline Hayes & husband James, Billy W. Lawhon & wife Johnsie and Denise Lawhon Powers & husband George. Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren The Deaton's, The Jone's, The Lawhon's, The Franz's, The Power's, The Power's, The Lee's. Great Great Grandchildren The Lawhon-Thomas's. And one Great Great Granddaughter. Many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Tuesday January 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Fairview Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Pastor Billy Lawhon will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday January 7, 2013 from 5-8 p.m.
