Willie “Billy” Alfred Cagle was born on November 22, 1958, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the parents of Selton Cagle and Ada Beatrice (Martin) Cagle. “Billy” moved to his eternal home on December 3, 2025 from his home in Stockbridge, Georgia.
Billy was a retired mechanic and spent most of his days in the yard working or out in his shed fixing things. He loved country music but more than anything he loved his NASCAR. Every Sunday no matter what room of the house he was in the races were on and so loud you could forget talking. The most important thing of all to him was his family. He loved his kids, grandkids, great grandkids and spending time with them. When you saw Billy, not far behind was one, if not all, his grandkids following right beside him no matter what he was doing. He was the glue that held the family together. He’d say,” You don’t have to like it, but you will get along!”. He will be truly missed!
Billy follows his parents, Selton and Beatrice Cagle, and two brothers, William Cagle and Daniel Cagle, to rest.
Billy leaves behind his wife, Lori (Sawyer) Cagle, his daughter and son-in-law, Heather (Cagle) Mauldin and Sean Mauldin, his daughter Julie (Sawyer) Mayer, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He leaves two sisters, Ann Okelley and Audrey Cargile, four brothers, Bobby Cagle, Jerry Cagle, Jack Cagle and John Cagle, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 01:00 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 05:00 p.m. to 07:00 p.m.
