Adele Cerri, age, 94, of Stockton, California passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 in Stockton, California with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 25, 1924 in Lucca, Italy to her late parents, Attilio and Pia Panelli.
Adele was an only child. Adele was a long-time resident of Stockton for 74 years. She worked as a volunteer Pink Lady at St. Joseph Hospital for over 40 years. Adele was on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Home in Stockton. She enjoyed spending time by the ocean in Santa Cruz, traveling on her yearly trip to Hawaii, bi-annual trip to Italy, and she really enjoyed festive meals surrounded by all her family.
Adele is survived by her sons Steven, and Michael, daughter-in-law Evonna. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Marc, Christina (Jeff), McKenzie, and three great grandchildren, Austin, Evelyn, and Cassie. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 70 years Ivan Cerri.
The family would like to say a very special thanks to Adele’s wonderful caregivers Jessica and Monica. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at DeYoung Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Cathedral of the Annunciation at 10:00 a.m. In Lieu of flowers the Cerri family would like donations to be made in honor of Adele to the Children’s Home of Stockton or a favorite charity of your choice.
