Althea Villinger

Althea Ortman Villinger passed away at the age of 95 on 3/20/22 in Stockton, Ca. Althea was born to Althea (Morse) Ortman and Carl S. Ortman in 1926. She graduated from Castalia High School in Palo Alto and then attended College of the Pacific. Althea was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority where she made many longtime friends. She married Chester (Chet) Pierce Jr. after World War II. Together they had their only daughter Christine (Chrisie) Pierce. Althea was active in the Omega Nu Sorority, where she was a member holding various officer positions. She was an avid golfer and made many wonderful friendships through the Stockton Golf and County Club’s 18-hole Women’s Group. Althea was blessed with lots of friends and enjoyed fun with her Supper Club, Thursday Girls, and bridge group. She also had great times at Seabright Beach in Santa Cruz! Althea married Leon Villinger in 1976. They loved traveling and were lucky to have traveled all over the world together.

She is survived by her daughter Chrisie Pfeil, son-in-law Robert (Bobby) Pfeil, grandson and love of her life Spencer Pfeil, stepson Bruce Villinger (Lahrea), step-grandson Jeff Villinger, niece Diane (D.D.) van Loben Sels (Page), nephew Pat Dwyer (Leslie). She is predeceased by mother Althea Ortman, father Carl Ortman, stepmother Maude (Rushstaller) Ortman, sister Carla (Ortman) Dwyer, step-brother Frank Rushstaller (Annette).

At her request there will be no services… just remember her with love and a smile!
