Barbara lived a full life and was born on April 11, 1934 in Stockton California to Joseph and Cynthia Valtierra Caballero. At the young age of 19, she fell in love and married William “Memo” Pimentel and they had two wonderful sons. She was the proud owner of Memo’s Bar and Tavern for over 35 years where she came to know most of her customers as friends. In her youth she enjoyed playing the piano and traveled extensively but for her, family was her greatest accomplishment and joy!
She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and was a beloved supporter of America Needs Fatima and many other charitable organizations. She was also a member of the Filipino American National Historical Society, Stockton Chapter and was very proud of her heritage and culture.
She was a dear friend to many and adored by all who came to know her. She was a prayer warrior with a deep devotion to her faith. She was always the first person to assure you that God had a hand in all things and would say a prayer on your behalf. She will be truly missed by all those who benefited from her daily prayers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William” Memo” Pimentel, as well as her loving son Ricardo “Billy” Pimentel. She is survived by her Son Edmond Pimentel, Daughter-in-law Edna Pimentel, Brother Ricardo Caballero, Grandchildren Lisa Pimentel, Edmund Pimentel, Michael Pimentel (Jonny) Serena Borquez (Carlos), Emelina R. Weaver, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A special Rosary and Mass service will be held at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church at 2544 Plymouth Rd. Stockton CA 95204 on Thursday January the 28th starting at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to Hospice of San Joaquin.
