

Benjamin Miranda Morelos, age 86, of Stockton, California passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 16, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lucifina, and their children Mary Ann, Maribel, Randy and Maricar. Lolo Ben will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Michelle, EJ, Martin, Angelo, Angelica, Kyle, Miguel, Maia, Emerald, Melany and great grandchildren Alex and Zoey.
Benjamin was born in Tarlac City, Central Luzon, Philippines. He was devoted to the Catholic faith and served as a Eucharistic Minister at the Mother of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Baclaran Church in Paranaque city. As a long time member of the Knights of the Columbus, he also became a barangay captain at San Gregorio village where the family resided before coming to the US.
Upon coming to Stockton in 1991, he continued his services at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. He was loved by his fellow choir members and a devotee of the Divine Mercy. His knowledge of the Bible was remarkable and his devotion to his faith inspired all who knew him.
His legacy of love and devotion will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. A man with a good sense of humor and always ready to give you a smile. He will forever be in our hearts.
Visitation for Benjamin will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a rosary at 3 pm at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, California. A Funeral Mass will occur Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Church of the Presentation, 6715 Leesburg Place, Stockton, California. Committal will occur at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 E. Harding Way, Stockton, California.
