Bert G. Galas

Bert G. Galas, 96, went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2021 in Stockton, California. Bert was born in Guimaras, Philippines, on December 18, 1924. Bert served in the US Army during World War II for 4 years. Bert married Primitiva S. Galas on June 25, 1950, they were married for over 70 years.

Bert worked for numerous years for Weststeyn Farms. He enjoyed listening and watching baseball, he was San Francisco Giants #1 fan. He also loved to play card games with his friends at Iloilo Circle Club.

Bert is survived by 4 children, Leopoldo, Bert Jr, Graciano and Marylane; 5 grandchildren, Lee, Leah, Glen, Anthony and Winston and 9 great-grandchildren, Frankie, Gianna, Jada, Kyle, Rayden, Wesley, Kyzen, Angelo, and Sophia.

Bert is preceded in death by his wife, Primitiva S. Galas. Bert was a proud and simple man, who led a simple and fulfilling life.

Bert’s viewing will be on July 8, 2021 from 1 - 8 p.m at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton , California.

A church mass will be held on July 9, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church, 120 W. 5th Street, Stockton, California.
