Bonafacio Arong Jr., 84, of Stockton, California, passed away after a life devoted to faith, family, and service. Born in Visalia, California, he graduated from Edison High School and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from San Joaquin Delta College.
A proud United States Marine, Bonafacio also served as a drill instructor for the Army Reserves and dedicated many years to supporting fellow veterans. He served two terms as Commander of Karl Ross Post 16 and as District #11 Commander.
Above all, Bonafacio was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love, strength, and dedication will be deeply missed.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Annunciation, followed by a committal at Lodi Memorial Park & Cemetery.
