Bonnie was the life each party. She made the whole room laugh and smile along with her. Bonnie would arrive early and give a helping hand.

I remember meeting Bonnie, when she first arrived in Stockton 48 years ago. She and her late husband, Bobbie (my brother from another mother), stopped by our house (on San Joaquin Street), when I was about 9 years old. I remember, I kept calling her "Bunnie" because I couldn't pronounce her name correctly. My older brother, Clarence Louie, corrected me. This memory I will always cherish dearly.

Bonnie, you will be dearly missed by all of us. Love you Miss Bonnie Lew!!

Just a joy to known her. I was lucky to work with her at the library, once upon a time.

Bonnie is my oldest girlfriend in Stockton. I literally met her a few minutes after I met the person who would become the love of my life! Bonnie’s late husband, Bobby Lew and my husband, Clarence Louie, were childhood friends. If not for them, I would not have known Bonnie. Lucky for me, Bonnie became my friend. She was the person who always managed to show up and be there to help do whatever you needed help with. She was the friend who showed up to your kids’ parties and put herself to work. One time, she must have fried over 500 pieces of lumpia at my girls’ high school graduation party. She even brought her own propane fryer! She traveled to LA and Chicago to attend my girls’ weddings. She baked several recipes of red velvet cake just to find the right one that met her standard of a great tasting cupcake for our first grand daughter’s Red Egg and Ginger Party. Who does that?! Only our Sweet Bonnie! I will, we all will, miss her unique brand of Southern charm, loyal friendship, Chinese culinary skills, fierce independence, thirst for adventure, insatiable curiosity, and open mindset. Rest In Peace my friend. I am a better person because I knew you and I will always be grateful for your friendship.

Bonnie was such vital & happy person even at the end of her life. We had so much fun over the 11 years of our friendship shopping, eating, listening to music, dancing, & cruises. My Mother, sisters & I will miss her.
Love to all of her family
