Mely was a loving and devoted wife to Jose (Amor) Chiong, who passed away in 2011.
They raised and are survived by their four children, Charyl, Kenn, Crisna and Kevin.
Their grandchildren, Isabel, Gabby, Kera, Victoria, Evie, Aiden and Aaron, will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
In conjunction to spending time with her plants and loved ones, Mely enjoyed starting her days with an early walk with her “Walking buddies”. Just as enjoyable were her bus rides on the weekends to the local casino with her “Casino buddies”.
A Viewing will begin at 1:00 pm and prayer will be at 3:00 pm at DeYoung Memorial Chapel in Stockton, CA on March 19, 2025.
The funeral service will begin at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockton, CA on March 20, 2025 at
10:00 AM and ending with her final resting place at San Joaquin Cemetery in Stockton, CA.
Comfort is found in knowing that her legacy lives on through the lessons she taught, the stories of her childhood shared and the recipes she passed on. Memories that will be cherished forever.
