Written by Christopher Drury, her grandson, as a child

When I walk into my Grandma’s house I am treated as a gift.
She makes me feel so warm inside her kitchen.
I sit at her table where she feeds me a meal of warm soup, fresh bread, and roasted lamb.
It tastes of love and kindness.
It smells of welcoming and pride.
She makes me feel so warm inside her living room.
She throws a soft wool blanket over me that feels like a light cloud from the top of the highest mountain.
I fall asleep and I hear the sound of complete silence and sweet bliss.
She makes me feels so warm in her yard.
I stroll through her yard and see beauty itself.
It smells of plentiful flowers and fresh cut grass.
I hear birds chirp and a fountain of water.
My Grandma is truly a gift.

Grace, Florence, Jeannette, Frank & family....

The 'Old Timers' from our Basque heritage are leaving us one by one to tend to their flocks with the Good Shepherd.

I remember your Mother for her kindness, loyalty to her husband Frank and the family business, the values she passed down to her children, and the integrity she always seemed to carry with her.

May her strength gives us hope and encouragement as we go through life.

One of the biggest inspirations in my life passed away this morning. My grandmother, Catherine, was one of the nicest, most genuine and caring people to walk the planet. She taught me a lot of the core principles I carry out today. She taught me respect, how to care for others and how to be a person of strong morals and ethics. I was so blessed to be touched by an angel like her. There was no other like my grandmother. I know without a doubt she is in heaven and enjoying eternal life and happiness. Rest in peace Amachi(grandmother in Basque) I love you so much! You're teachings and love will be carried on forever.
