On June 20, 2023, beloved Wife and Mother, Charmaine ‘Char’ Tyrrell, was lost to this world suddenly and unexpectedly. Born April 27, 1962 in San Francisco, raised by Virginia ‘Ginny’ Sweigart in Stockton, CA, she graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1981. Her career-life was long and illustrious, rivaled only by her astral care for husband and daughter.
Char was talented as they come. No matter the field she entered, she performed with pride and proficiency, appearing to be an expert in short order. Her personality served to put folks at ease and drew them in to almost instantly feel more than a client or co-worker, but friend and family. From retail to bartending, running care homes to teaching at United Cerebral Palsy and providing respite care for Valley Mountain Regional Center consumers, the Manteca Chamber, and her almost two decades in the construction industry (BIA - AGC of CA – Marina Landscape Inc.), she endeared herself to all. It was by her very nature that she was organized and goal oriented, having daily checklists for everything, personal and professional. She loathed the very notion of procrastination, relaxing only when she was finally exhausted.
Charmaine was a fan of performing arts and loved music and musicals, the likes of Sinatra, Streisand, and anything Andrew Lloyd Webber. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, camping, entertaining, assisting others, and caring for friends and family. Char was the hub of our family in every way possible. True to her core, she was a donor and her organs are expected to save or improve the lives of several people. She loved people, and even as she left this life, she helped more people.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Virginia ‘Ginny’ Sweigart, December 20, 1997. She is survived by husband, Scott Tyrrell, daughter Virginia ‘Ginny’ Tyrrell, sister, Christine O’Rourke (Robert), Father-in law, Gary Tyrrell (Carmen), nieces, Meghan O’Rourke and Haley Dodson, nephew, Del Wood (Nikki), aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She will be forever loved, missed, and remembered dearly.
