There is so much to say about my Uncle David, but if you had to some it up it would be family. His family was what he lived for. On our frequent lunches the subject was always about family, he always kept me up to date on all of his grandkids and then it would be a talk on the history of our family. He had a huge heart and it seemed many people from his years as a union president came to him for advice and help even years after his retirement. He always did everything he could to help. I heard such wonderful stories of vacations he had with his family over the years. One he told me about many times was a trip he and Tina took in a train across Canada. He loved his food and I have many wonderful memories of meals at his home but most of all he was my lunch buddy. He would come to the court house and we would go have Cocido. I will miss our talks. Love You Uncle David

As a little girl 2 yrs old i was lucky enough to be the daughter of Roy & Martha Alvarez who lived next door to the Padilla Family. From that day forward we were Family. My Uncle Dave was a loving family Man who did everything for his wife my Aunt Rose and raised his children to be loving kind and giving individuals. He worked hard showing us all you can accomplish just about anything with hard work. He touched many during his life. I for one am greatful to have been able to have shared so many significant days with him, Sundays after a Cal Mex Baseball game to Christmas Eve as well Holidays Weddings, birthday ect. I can't seem to remember a day where he wasn't with us all. My life has been blessed to have been apart of his Life. My heart goes out to the entire Padilla Family. I love you more (in my Momma's voice) Linda Alvarez ❤
