I didn't know Dawn very long. I met her when she travelled to Texas after her brother fell ill. She was engaging and full of life. Her switch was stuck on go. Having never met her before, one thing became obvious, no matter what struggles or conflicts she'd been through, she loved her family.

Her brother, Nick Butts passed awsy after a short illness. She was with him and her Mom, Joan Harris when he left this earth, on Father's Day 2017.

Here we are, a little more than a year later and she has joined him. I am forever grateful that she and her Mom grew closer in the last year. Cancer is a horrible plague on mankind snd horrible to have. Dawn (Dusty) met this awful disease head on, and though her doctors didn't expect her to live past the end of July, she left on her own terms. Her will to live was incredible. She did not want to go, and leave every one she loved, especially the love of her life, Fred Hayden. Lori Harrell Obermamaier was is her best friend who tirelessly gave her love , care and support. When things were really tough, she was there to hold her hand and help her walk through the horrible effects of cancer. She has been an incredible support to Dawn's husband and Mom.

Dawn and her Mom spent precious time together as well. She knew the love and support of her Mom and it gave her strengrh.

Dawn was able to leave on her own terms. She didn't leave until she was ready, was strong and she got her wings on a Saturday evening with her husband, Fred Hayden, by her side. God rest you, Dawn "Dusty" Hayden. I will never forget you. i'm "lovin' you" too💖

Oh Dusty, there has been so many happy go lucky memories of the past few years....
