Dennis Russell Shigio

Dennis Shigio was born in Denver, Colorado, on August 3, 1947. He was raised in southern California and moved to Stockton in 1971 to attend UOP. He passed away at his residence on May 27, 2016. Dennis is survived by Darlene, his wife of 44 years, and his son Daniel. He is also survived by his sisters Shirley (Steve) Shibuyama and Donna (Ken) Anami; brother Wesley; sister in law Laurie (Clay) Hamasaki; father in law Mits Kuramoto; nieces Sandra & Loni Shibuyama, Lori & Teri Anami, and Heather Hamasaki; nephew Keith Hamasaki; and many relatives & close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sueko & Shiro Shigio, and his mother in law, Lily Kuramoto. Dennis loved his Datsun 510 and PIE toy truck, as well as his collection of models and Lionel trains. Dennis was loved by many for his kindness, generosity and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all of us who loved him. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on June 11, 2016, at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton, CA.
