

Domingo is a veteran who served in the United States Army/Air Corp. during WWII, and retired from the City of Stockton public works department after 31 years. Domingo was a member of American Legion Quiones/Becerra post 402 and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church. Domingo played baseball for years in the ‘70s and then began coaching in the ‘80s.
Domingo celebrated 67 years of marriage to the late Aurora Sotelo Orozco. He is father to 3 children, The late Peter Orozco (Wife Margaret), Angie Orozco Sauceda (Husband Robert), and Stella Orozco Freeman (Husband John). He is grandfather to 9 grandchildren, Lisa Orozco, Steven Orozco, John Freeman, Rena Almaguer, Diane Freeman Mendoza, the late Joe Almaguer, Toni Freeman Galano, Manuel Almaguer, and Kerrie Valenzuela. He is a great grandfather to 25 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandfather to 9 grandchildren.
Domingo was the patriarch of the family and always described as warm-hearted and was hardly ever heard to raise his voice. He was a perfect role model for unconditional love. Domingo enjoyed attending sports events and having the family over for the fights. His front yard was his prized rose garden, which he planted for his wife. He was known for making Menudo every new year’s day and inviting the family to rotate through. He enjoyed telling his war stories and stories of his life lessons regarding marriage. “ Yes, dear” was on of his favorite lines and he said it worked like a charm with Aurora. (grandma Dora).
Preceded in death by wife Aurora Sotelo Orozco, son Peter D Orozco and grandson Joe A Almaguer.
