Donna Irene Zarate

Donna Irene Zarate, born December 13,1930 in Wisconsin, entered into rest January 27, 2017 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Isaac "Ike" Zarate. Together they had 7 children; Michael Zarate of Lodi, Jeffery Zarate, Larry Zarate, Stephen Zarate, and Christina Zarate-Bloxsom of Stockton, Christopher Zarate of Manteca and Anna Romero of Bismarck, ND. She had two brothers; the late Art Longaberger of Lodi, William Longaberger of Kentucky and three sisters; the late Winifred Frase, the late Adeline Coombes and Mary Ann Kindel of Ohio. She is survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She worked for JC Penney and later was a rural Postal Carrier until her retirement. Visitation will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Feb 9, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertude's Catholic Church,1663 East Main St., Stockton, CA 95205. Committal will be held on Friday Feb 17th 12:00 (noon) at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. Published in The Record on Feb. 5, 2017
