Edith Elfriede Helene Bishop

Edith Elfriede Helene Bishop passed away on November 27, 2016 following a long and courageous battle with Parkinson ’s disease. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred H. Bishop in 1992. Edith was born in Germany, lived through the horrors of WWII and immigrated to the USA in 1952. She married Fred in 1953, had her first child in 1954, followed shortly thereafter by her second child in 1955. Edith loved the Lord, her family, and in later years motor-homing and fishing with her husband.

Edith leaves behind her daughter Anita (Richard) Ketchie and her son Ron (Marcia) Bishop, her four grandchildren, Steven Colvin, Jr., Rachel (Nathan) Parrish, Christopher (Brittany) Bishop, and Matthew (Mandi) Bishop. She also leaves cousins in Germany.

A special thanks to Virginia Rock for her friendship and spiritual support during Edith’s long illness. Also, special thanks to Quail Lakes Church for their prayers and spiritual support. Also, special thanks to Hospice of San Joaquin.

Private graveside services have been held. All friends and family are welcome to celebrate the life of Edith at 11:00 A.M., December 17th at Quail Lakes Baptist Church.
