

Born in Brawley, CA, to Martin and Maria Perez, she was the third of twelve children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Valdez.
She leaves behind three children, Laura DeSantigo, Serena DeSantiago, Joseph Valdez, five grandchildren, Belinda Rhodes Hall, Felicia Rhodes, Christopher Rhodes, Matthew Valdez, Ashley Valdez, & seven great grandchildren, Ciara Carrier, Chianne Carrier, Mark & Martin Hall, Chloe Nguyen, Christopher Rhodes Jr., & Soraya Rhodes.
She is survived by four siblings, Peter Perez, Mary Romero, Manuel Perez and Rosa Hinojos.
She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career for 30 years at Cal Cedar Products, As the fruit showered her yard and as the trees sway with memories of backyard celebrations, Sally valued her relationship with the Lord. The children will remember her fascination with fireworks and the aroma of Traditional Tamales on New Years Eve. She can once again listen to the music of her heart while she dances through streets of heaven.
During an earlier chapter in her life Ms. Valdez enjoyed being a chaperone for her children's Drum and Bugle Corps, the Stockton Commodores.
As the matriarch of our family, She encouraged work education and family. She loved dance and music We will miss the fire in her eyes, and the softness in her voice.
Rosary will be held on Monday(6/26/17) at 6pm, Frisbie Warren & Carroll Mortuary.
Catholic Mass will be held Tuesday(6/27/17) at 10am, St. Bernadette's Catholic Church.
