Francisco Coral Sudario was born August 12, 1925 and entered into eternal rest on June 20, 2020 in Stockton, CA at the age of 94.
Francisco was born in Burauen, Leyte, Philippines. At a young age, he joined the US Navy in Guiuan, Samar, Philippines just as World War II was coming to an end. He worked as a steward on various ships and aircraft carriers stationed in Hawaii, Norfolk and other naval bases overseas. Earning the rank of an E-5 petty officer, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He proudly served the US Navy from 1945-1965.
After returning to Burauen on vacation, he met a beautiful young lady who was, to his dismay, engaged to marry another man. Despite the circumstances, he was able to win her over and eventually married Eufracia Marbibi Sudario. While working in the US, Francisco would frequently travel across the Pacific to visit and support his family. Following in the footsteps of his close cousin Telesforo Tenedora, Francisco relocated his family to Milpitas, CA in 1970.
Francisco was a hard working entrepreneur who owned his own grocery store in Cupertino, CA and obtained his general contractor’s license, forming the Sudario Construction in 1994. He was savvy in automotive work, house repair and even expanded his own family home in Milpitas. He enjoyed family gatherings, singing and cooking while spending time with his friends and family from Burauen. He also loved fishing and hunting. After separating from Eufracia, Francisco spent the remainder of his life with his second wife, Nenita Sudario, in Stockton, CA.
Francisco is survived by his children, Robert Sudario (Angel) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; Angie Sudario-Cook (Gordon) of Carrboro, NC; Deborah Coalson (Alex) of Kitty Hawk (NC); Margie Negranza (Marfil) of Manteca, CA and Mary Sudario of Stockton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Jaeda Aldana, Gabe Sudario, Jasmine Bee, Aaron Sudario, Janae Aldana, Jordan Cook, Trent Coalson, Seth Coalson, Jaelyn Negranza, Ava Negranza and two great-grand daughters, Kira Celeste and Maliyah Jade.
