Gilbert Allala, age 97, of Stockton, CA passed away and joined his wife, the late Josphine Allala on July 31, 2023. He is survived by his three children, Gilbert (Tita) Allala Jr., Rachel (Roy) Niceler, Leonard (Susan) Allala, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, and countless extended family and friends.
Gilbert was born in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1926. At 17, he hopped a freight train to Richmond, CA looking for his uncles and shortly after moved to Stockton. He spent 17 years in the U.S. Army earning the rank of Master Sergeant. Gilbert enjoyed fishing and camping, watching his westerns and attending family events especially softball games. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a silly side that made everyone laugh and a serious eye to detail. He would do anything for his family and friends and loved unconditionally.
Although he will be extremely missed, his family is grateful to know that he is finally at peace and reunited with his true love, dancing and laughing together, forever.
