Born on January 30, 1931, in Mangum, Oregon, he was the beloved husband of Loretta McCaul for 75 years. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love. His greatest accomplishment was the family they created and the remarkable marriage he shared with the love of his life.
He retired as a California State Railroad Safety Inspector after a long and respected career in the railroad industry.
He enjoyed playing guitar, listening to bluegrass music, fishing, making chili, and spending time with family. He especially loved gathering with those he loved and sharing stories, laughter, and meals together.
Above all, he was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and knew the Bible inside and out. His faith guided his life and was reflected in the kindness, wisdom, and love he showed to others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Loretta McCaul; his children Randy McCaul, Ron McCaul, Tom McCaul and Chuck; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
While his family will miss him deeply, they find comfort in knowing he is now at home with his Savior and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
