Jean A. Niblett was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, died peacefully at her home in Stockton, California on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the age of 97. Jean is survived by her sons Jim of Stockton and Tom (Carol) of Modesto, her twin grandsons Matt (Lacey) and Tim, Great-Grandson Alex and Great Granddaughter Baby-girl. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Frank (of Stockton), parents Arthur and Bertha (of Tracy) and brother Earl (of Tracy).
Jean was born on 0ctober 31, 1923 in Stockton, California to Tom and Bertha Rhodes. She attended Jefferson Elementary and graduated from Tracy High. Jean graduated with a Degree from Armstrong College in Oakland and went to work for the Oakland “I” Bureau. Subsequently, she then went to work for H.J. Heinz in Tracy. Jean married Frank in Tracy on February 3, 1945 after Frank returned home from flying 72 bombing missions into France. The couple then moved to air bases in Florida, Georgia, and Nevada as Frank trained B26 bomber pilots. After being honorably discharged, the couple then made their home in Stockton, California. Over the next few years, Tom and Jim were born and welcomed into their growing family. Jean then became a full time homemaker and loving, patient stay at home Mom. She always put her family and kids first.
Jean loved reading and was an accomplished piano player and would fill in when necessary at her church. She was dedicated to her faith and the saving grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, a Sunday School teacher, and was a 50+ year member of St. Stephens East Bay and the Church of the Lutheran Confession.
A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 AM July 30, 2021 at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr., Stockton, with a reception to follow. Pastor Luke Bernthal will officiate the ceremony.
