Kathy Denise Craft gracefully entered this world on August 11, 1962, to the proud parents John H. Craft and Daphney Craft in Columbia, Mississippi. Kathy is one of eleven children.
At the tender age of five, Kathy and her family moved to Stockton, California. Kathy remained in Stockton, growing up in Nightingale, cultivating lifelong friendships. Kathy attended John Monroe Elementary, Hamilton Middle School, and graduated from Franklin High School in 1980. Kathy received her Business Certificate from Humphrey College.
Kathy began her career in the banking industry at American Savings right after high school. She worked as a Portfolio Specialist for 28 years at both Washington Mutual and Chase Bank until her retirement.
In 1986, Kathy was introduced to the love her life Larry Darnell Johnson, by her late step-father Robert Williams. Larry and Kathy began a simple courtship, going to the movies, long car rides, and plenty of concerts. They started their beautiful family and got married on September 3rd, 1989. Their marriage was full of love, friendship, hugs, kisses, and never being able to stay away from each other for 29 years.
Seeking God was just one of her many personal missions. Joining West Coast Church, then later in 2005 joining Progressive Community Church. While at Progressive, she joined ministries including Small Group, Owana, Grief Share, and volunteered for church events.
Kathy had plenty of hobbies such as being a Cheer Coach, a CASA parent, Foster Parent, listening and dancing to music, a passion for shopping for shoes, but ultimately spending time with her husband, kids, and grandchildren.
Kathy is proceeded in death by her father John H. Craft and mother Daphney R. Williams. She leaves behind her husband Larry Sr., her children; Larry Jr., Christopher, Toya, Tori, and Destiny; brothers and sisters, Gregory, John, Rhonda, LaShaunda, Jaunita, Nicole, Aaron, Elijah, and DaJon; 9 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
