It is with profound sorrow that the family of Larry Hall Moorman, 85, of Stockton, announces his tranquil passing on May 30, 2026. Born on October 13, 1940, in Montebello, California, Larry honorably served in the United States Navy and subsequently dedicated 55 years to owning and operating Moorman Water Systems family business.
Beyond his professional endeavors, he was esteemed for his devotion to family and his passions for hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also an active member of the Linden Lions Club for 45 years, as well as the I.A.C. Larry measured his life not by achievements, but by the meaningful relationships he cultivated and the joy he brought to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and cherished memories.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Janice Rovera Moorman; his children, Michael Moorman and Gregory Moorman; his adopted daughter, Bellarose; his grandchildren, Kevin Moorman (and fiancée Kate) and Erma Moorman Chapman (and husband Nick); and his adopted grandchildren, Patrick, Elissa, Jessa, Aston, and Astrid.
You are cordially invited to join the family for services honoring Larry's life. A viewing will be held on June 17th from 3:00 6:30p.m. Rosary 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. at DeYoung Funeral Home, 601 N. California St. The funeral mass will take place at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 5882 N. Ashley Ln, on June 18th at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be served immediately following the service. The rite of committal and burial will follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
