Shreveport Louisiana. He was the youngest of three
children to the late Elsie Martin. He joined the Army and
became a member of the elite Airborne Unit of the 1st
Cavalry Division. He also served in the Vietnam War and
settled in Stockton California where he met and married
Opal Faye Lewis on January 26, 1968. To this union
three sons were born. He dedicated 38 years of his life
working for Libby Owens Ford where he retired in 2000
In Larry's leisure he loved the horse races and staying
up late watching si-fi movies. He loved to share his infinite
wisdom with his sons and having a good time with his
friends and family. He dedicated his life to loving his wife,
raising his boys and working tirelessly to provide for his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, His wife of 49 years

Paul Lawson (Ruth)and Manuel Banks (Jackie), Grandchildren
Reggie, Antionette and Yemaya, Great Grandchildren
Keon, Kyrin and Brooklyn. and a host of nieces and
nephews and close friends.
