She worked in the post office before becoming an insurance agent for Truex Insurance and later retiring from Brown, Wisdom and Hathaway.
She was the widow of Clyde J. Matthews, who died in 1992. She was predeceased by her brothers, John and Louis Costa and sisters, Florence Pagano, Anne George and Helen Scanavino. She will be missed by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospice, 439 College Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Private Services will be held at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
